Terms, Policies & Privacy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Please read this page carefully before using Tiny Finds Co. By creating an account, browsing, buying, or selling on this site, you agree to the terms below.

On this page

1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms and conditions, together with the Privacy Policy below (together, the "Terms"), govern your use of Tiny Finds Co (the "Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), a marketplace for buying and selling pre-loved baby and children's items in South Africa. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Who we are

Tiny Finds Co is operated by Tiny Finds (CIPC Enterprise Number 2026/744345/07), trading as "Tiny Finds Co." We're based in Equestria, Pretoria, South Africa. You can reach us at info@bkkgroup.co.za with any questions about these Terms.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract under South African law to create an account or transact on the Platform.

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please provide accurate, current information (including your contact details, delivery address, and banking details where relevant) and keep it up to date.

4. Buying on Tiny Finds Co

When you buy an item, you're entering into a sale directly with the seller of that item. Tiny Finds Co facilitates the listing, payment, and delivery process, but is not the seller of any item listed by a third party and is not a party to the contract of sale between you and the seller.

Items are second-hand and sold in the condition described in the listing. We ask sellers to describe condition honestly, including any scratches, marks, or wear, but we do not inspect items ourselves before they ship, and minor variation between a listing's description and the item's actual condition can occur.

5. Selling on Tiny Finds Co

By listing an item, you confirm that you own it, have the right to sell it, and that it is not stolen, counterfeit, or subject to any dispute. You agree to describe each item, its condition, and its size accurately and honestly, including disclosing any defects, damage, or wear.

You may not list items that have been recalled, that do not meet applicable South African safety standards, or that are otherwise unsafe for use by children — this includes, for example, car seats past their manufacturer-recommended expiry or that have been in a collision, and cribs, cots, or other items that do not meet current safety regulations. Tiny Finds Co does not independently verify that listed items comply with safety standards or have not been recalled; this responsibility rests with the seller. We reserve the right to remove any listing, at any time and without notice, that we suspect is unsafe, recalled, counterfeit, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.

Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. Approval is at our discretion and is not a guarantee of an item's condition, safety, or authenticity.

6. Fees & commission

Tiny Finds Co charges a commission on each completed sale — currently 15% of the item price, reduced to 10% for sellers subscribed to Power Seller. Commission is deducted before a seller's payout. Fees may change from time to time; the fee that applies is the one in effect at the time of sale.

7. Offers & negotiation

Buyers may offer up to 15% below a listing's asking price. A seller may accept, decline, or counter an offer, and a buyer may do the same in response to a counter-offer.

Once an offer is accepted, the agreed price applies and the item is held for that buyer for 48 hours to complete payment. An offer or counter-offer that isn't responded to within 48 hours expires automatically. Accepting an offer is a commitment to complete the sale at that price; repeatedly failing to complete a purchase after accepting an offer may result in account suspension.

8. Delivery & shipping

Items ship via Aramex. Sellers are responsible for packaging items securely and shipping them promptly once a sale is confirmed.

The delivery fee shown at checkout is an estimate based on the size category the seller selects when listing the item, not an exact courier quote. Selecting an accurate size is the seller's responsibility, and is what keeps this estimate in line with the actual shipping cost.

Tiny Finds Co is not a courier and is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage that occurs in transit, beyond what Aramex's own terms of carriage provide for.

9. Payments

Payments are processed securely by Yoco, an independent third-party payment service provider. Tiny Finds Co does not store your card details. We are not responsible for delays, errors, or failures caused by Yoco's payment processing systems, though we'll do what we reasonably can to help resolve a payment issue.

10. Confirming receipt & payouts

A seller's payout is released once the buyer confirms they've received their item. Buyers can confirm receipt starting 24 hours after the sale, or earlier if the item has genuinely already arrived. Please confirm promptly once you've checked your item is as described — this is what releases payment to the seller.

If an item hasn't arrived, or isn't as described, please contact us before confirming receipt so we can help resolve the matter with the seller. Where a buyer does not confirm receipt and a dispute arises, Tiny Finds Co may request evidence of delivery (such as an Aramex tracking record) from either party and will use reasonable discretion in deciding whether and when a payout proceeds.

11. Returns, refunds & disputes

Because items are second-hand and sold directly between buyer and seller, sales are generally final once a buyer has confirmed receipt. If an item is significantly different from how it was described, or doesn't arrive, contact us before confirming receipt — we'll do our best to help resolve the issue with the seller, which may include facilitating a refund at our discretion.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you may have under South African consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tiny Finds Co disclaims all warranties regarding the Platform and the items listed on it, and is not liable for the condition, legality, safety, or quality of any item, the accuracy of any listing, or the conduct of any buyer or seller.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of your use of the Platform is limited to the commission fees we received in connection with the transaction giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Tiny Finds Co harmless against any claim, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your listings, your conduct on the Platform, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Content you provide

You retain ownership of the photos, descriptions, and other content you upload, but grant Tiny Finds Co a license to display, reproduce, and use that content on the Platform (and in promoting the Platform) for as long as your listing or account remains active.

15. Prohibited conduct

You may not use the Platform to commit fraud, list stolen or counterfeit goods, circumvent fees by arranging payment outside the Platform for a transaction initiated on it, submit fake reviews or ratings, harass other users, or otherwise misuse the Platform. We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action.

16. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, or remove any listing, at our discretion and without notice, particularly where we believe these Terms have been breached or that doing so protects the Platform or its users.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever changes are made.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

19. Privacy policy

This section explains what personal information we collect, why, and how it's handled, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

Your name, email address, and account activity; your delivery address and WhatsApp number, if you add them (used so sellers can ship to you and buyers can reach you); photos and descriptions you upload for listings; and, if you sell and request a payout, your banking details (bank name, account holder, account number, branch code).

How we use it

To operate the Platform — creating your account, showing your listings, processing payments and payouts, letting buyers and sellers contact each other, and sending you service-related notifications (such as messages, offers, and sale updates).

Who we share it with

Yoco (our payment processor) to process payments; Aramex, indirectly, through the delivery address a seller uses to ship to you. We don't sell your personal information to third parties.

Keeping it safe

Your information is stored with reasonable technical and organisational security measures. Banking details are only ever visible to you and to us, for the purpose of arranging your payout — never shown publicly or to other users.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or ask us to delete your personal information by contacting us (see below) or, for most details, directly from your Profile page. You can also ask us what information we hold about you.

Cookies & similar technology

We use the minimum technical storage needed to keep you signed in and remember a few in-session preferences. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
